SELECTION (Competition)
The Viana’s Dance Festival lead to Theater Sá de Miranda is divided into 4 levels, "the small dancers", "elementary", "intermediate" and "advanced", with entries from six genres: Classical ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, Street dance, Folk Dance and Tap Dance.

1.SELECTION
All candidates with more than 5 years old can register for the Dance Festival of Viana, but must be subject to selection, with the exception of candidates winners in 1st place or which were awarded at the Viana’s Dance Festival 2009, they have ensured the participation at the Dance Festival de la de Viana 2010.

To participate in the selection of candidates must reach the Viana’s Dance Festival until 18 february 2010 (date stamp) of the following:
-Form-filled choreography
-A copy of identity card
-Record-choreography.
-In the video (VHS) / DVD applicants can wear test clothes or show.
-The movies (VHS) / DVDs must be properly labeled with the choreography of reference in the registration form.

Remarks
Each school, college, independent group (unconnected with schools or academies) can save 10 works, but only 3 choreography by Genre.
The entire conference of the documentation sent, including the duration of the choreography will be evaluated at the screening.

Criteria for classification
-Form with incomplete data
-Lack of documents
-Transmission of documents outside deadline
-Video (VHS) not rewound
-VHS video / DVD, without identification, in case of technical problems or other images.
-Choreography-incomplete

Selection criteria
-Adequacy of choreography and theme songs chosen for dancers respecting the specificity of age.
-Artistic and technical quality of interpreters.
-Structure composition choreographic
-The outcome of the selection will be announced on March 2, 2010
-The material sent to the selection will not be returned.
-Once selected, can not be changed: the choreographic composition, the name of the choreography and the music or time

2.EVALUATION
All applicants will be evaluated in the choreography "Viana Festival 2010" taught for the Viana Dance Festival, and also evaluated by choreography presented at the Festival de Dance de Viana and his behavior on stage and backstage.
Only candidates who are assessed in the choreography "Viana Festival 2010" in e choreography offered at the Festival de Dance de Viana may be selected for the price.

The disclosure of results will be displayed on the day of presentation of choreographed spectacle, for 11 hours Theater Sá de Miranda.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
-Performance, and content of movement.
-Choreography.
-The creativity and musical interpretation.
-Charisma(it is considered the candidates' ability regard to the public).
-Projection image and message.
-Appearance, clothing and characterization.

Candidates are rated on a scale of 1 to 5 values,
Can only attend the Gala winners punctuate the choreography of 3 values or up
Will be authorized for the Gala winners, 3 choreography for each genre.
With a tie score in the bottom is a 4th choreography.

JURY
They are part of the jury of three components of merit in the field of dance. The decisions are final and without appeal.

NON-COMPETITIVE- MOSTRA VIANA

In group presentations, levels, elementary, intermediate and advanced, will accept applications of candidates for the birth date of the class immediately below.
In such cases, candidates must choose a level of entry to the festival because he can not be placed on only one level.
It will not be allowed to exchange group, level, choreography, closed after the selection.

COD 1-classical dance
- will be enrolled in this genre, the choreography created or began using the technique of classical dance

5.REGISTRATION
Successful applicants in the selection must confirm their subscription until 5 march 2010 by sending in Dance Festival Viana:
-1 (A) Photo proposal choreography for the Festival de Dance de Viana (test or show) or other work done by the candidate.
-Copy of proof of payment of fees by mail or fax.

All candidates will have to pay the fees, including (coordinator, director, choreographer or tester) if the candidates follow the sidelines. Only valid entries will be accepted and liquidation to pay registration fees until 25 February 2010 From that date are on the waiting list (for vacancies), until March 1, 2010

RETURN OF THE COST OF TAX CLAIM
As the number of vacancies is limited only restores 80% of the amount paid to fall to March1, 2010. On March 2, 2010, will not be refunded any amount paid.

IMPORTANT NOTES
-Participation as a group is limited to a minimum of four and a maximum of twenty-five elements.
-All applicants who apply to the Prix Viana do not pay enrollment in Mostra Viana
-Certificates will be delivered to all those who participate in Mostra Viana

-Dedutions from COURSES sponsored by Festival of Dance of Viana
He will not permit presentations with animals, water and fire (except candles and torches license with protection) or objects that could cause damage or reach the public.
The basis for setting the stage lighting and can be the same for all candidates.
-The candidates have one minute before and after the presentation for assembling and cleaning the scene, not to prejudge the outcome of the show.
-Candidates must have 2 CDs for each choreography. It must be a letter "C" or "M" in red, as the music began with candidate (s) on stage or before coming on stage:

-The CD must be labeled (including box) and delivered to the secretary of the festival approving candidates. The CD will be returned at the end of the festival.
-Candidates must arrive one hour before the presentations.
-All applicants must have two officers to monitor their own candidates for rooms and control entry and exit from the scene.
The locker room occupancy is subject to the following conditions:
"They should be abandoned soon after the presentations.

-All the leaders and candidates will have to provide security, cleaning and conservation of the site.
Coordination of the Festival is not responsible for articles left in the changing rooms, classrooms, stage, backstage. .
-The images of candidates may be used at the discretion of the coordination of the event for the dissemination of the Festival.
-The tests will occur at the Theater Sá de Miranda on the day of presentations, the order of test phase will be developed for coordinating the Festival, is the mandatory presence of those responsible in the testing phase Each choreography will be tested once.
The coordination of the Festival will provide local candidates to do other tests to confirm that the test must be made with the secretariat of the festival approving candidates, candidates must provide the sound equipment for these tests.

6 .AWARDS

Trophies and certificates will be awarded to the First, Second and Third classified in each level and gender.

Special Awards
All candidates can be shown and receive special prizes.

Dancer best price (a)

Prize valuet at 400 euros for the best dancer among all levels and genres of the Festival Dança de Viana .

Price of the best group

Prize valuet at 200 euros for the best group among all levels and genres of the Festival Dança de Viana .

Talent Award
Prize valuet at 100 Euros for the revelation of the Festival de Dance de Viana, can be delivered to the dancer (a) group, school, choreography, costumes.

7.ACTIVITIES IMPLEMENTED

The reception of the Viana Dance Festival is in Theater Sá de Miranda. Each candidate will receive a badge of compulsory use, portable, the badge is not the right time.

8.TICKETS
During the period from 1 march to 5 march 2010, coordination will provide the exclusive sale of tickets for the candidates. On march 6 start of ticket sales to the general public and to pursue the sale of tickets for all seats.

9.MISSING CASES
The missing cases are solved by this policy coordination Festival.

LIABILITY FOR ACCIDENTS DURING THE FESTIVAL IS ONLY CANDIDATE
